Inconsistent Statements
Below are various recordings that highlight Jacob’s lies with his inconsistent statements that he told officers. Even with his story constantly changing, officers still acted only off of Jacob’s false statements and demonstrated an excessive show of force at the Lee residence. These actions further reiterate how MCSO overreacted with the sole purpose of protecting “one of their own.” Detectives never conducted an investigation despite Jacob's ever changing statements. Jacob knows he is culpable, so he starts grasping at straws in order to make DJ look like the aggressor. He does this knowing that no matter how much he lies, he can count on his uncle, Shawn Braaten, and his MCSO entourage to protect him. Listen to Deputy Dustin Baker's body worn camera video (listen below and on "The Only Aggressor" page) where he asks Jacob if DJ has guns, and Jacob quickly states that DJ has "many guns." That triggered Deputy Baker to then say that MCSO was going to "hit [the Lee residence] with SWAT"-no questions, no investigation, just taking Jacob at his word. Stop and ask yourself, if this truly was the truth, and Jacob knew this, then why was he even going over to the Lee residence at 1 AM, after being told numerous times to stay away? Who truly is the aggressor here?

Jacob drastically changes his story when being interviewed by MCSO and completely contradicts himself.
Injuries (or lack there of):
There are numerous inconsistencies in Jacob's statements of his "injuries", from DJ supposedly "full on punching him" to just an "open hand slap." The only consistent thing in all of the statements is that Jacob was not hurt (his own and his mother's words). It is baffling that DJ was facing the rest of his life in prison for something that the "victim" himself states that he had no injuries, and no proof of anything alleged.

Sarah's Involvement:
Jacob knows he is culpable for his actions, and that Sarah told him to stay away from her. In order to try to hide the fact that he was the only aggressor in the situation, he gives contradictory statements regarding Sarah's involvement.
